I’ve decided that I’m not going to do a “typical” review for this book, or any of the others in this series. I don’t want to accidentally give anything away, or otherwise ruin anything for potential readers.
That being said, I do have a few thoughts to share.
Picking up these books, I was anticipating light and fluffy reads. I think the marketing team responsible for designing the covers of these editions of the books may have done them a bit of a disservice. I have been, and continue to be, pleasantly surprised by the depth and complexity of each character and her story.
If I could have one teeny tiny little complaint though…there is something that happens to Lena at the very end of this book that I found ridiculously unrealistic. I have never been a fan of storylines that seem to wrap up too nicely, and for me, this was one of them.
